Lukashenko: Calm Down, I’m Not Going to Die

Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Tuesday said he was absent from public space due to illness.

He stated this at a government meeting on Tuesday, writes Evropeyskaya Pravda with reference to the Belarusian state agency  BelTA .

The Belarusian dictator called the discussion of his state of health “nothing more than idle arguments in instant messengers and telegram channels.”

“Adenovirus or what was there? Adenovirus. Nothing … But since I did not have the opportunity to be treated …, it all accumulated. So I’m not going to die, guys. You will still suffer with me for a very long time,” he added Lukashenka.

He did not specify which disease he was referring to, as adenoviruses can cause a wide range of illnesses in humans, from acute respiratory infections to fatal illnesses in people with weakened immune systems.

Recall that for a long time nothing was known about the state of the Belarusian leader or the place where he is now  . Since the celebrations on May 9 in Moscow and Minsk, Lukashenka has not appeared in the public field, no events with his personal participation have been held.

According to independent media, on the evening of May 13, a cortege, accompanied by the Strela special unit, arrived at the Republican Clinical Medical Center of the Presidential Administration.

The leader of the united opposition of Belarus, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, amid rumors about the state of health of the self-proclaimed president, urged  to prepare “for any scenario .
