The Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed a Russian Su-35 aircraft late this evening, May 21.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Dmitry Pletenchuk, head of the press service of the Kherson Defense Forces, on Facebook .
“The spectacle with the downed analog Su-35 was incredible. Air defense is Strength!
The evening has become more interesting,” Pletenchuk said in a statement.
Pletenchuk later deleted the post about the downing of the Russian plane.
Earlier, information appeared on the network in monitoring publics that a Russian Su-35 was shot down over the Black Sea, which intended to launch in the direction of southern Ukraine.
Note that the Su-35 is a fourth-generation Russian multirole fighter. Developed in the Russian Sukhoi Design Bureau in 2008. The Su-35 is one of the main fighters of the Russian Air Force, as well as a kind of transitional link between the Su-27 and Su-57 fighters. The serial fighter for the Russian Aerospace Forces is called the Su-35S.
Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed more than 300 aircraft
It is worth noting that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukrainian air defense forces have destroyed 309 aircraft and 294 helicopters. So, on May 13, four Russian aircraft and a helicopter were destroyed in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, they were part of the same air group. It is reported that the fighters were supposed to launch a missile and bomb attack on targets in the Chernihiv region, and the helicopters were supposed to secure them.
