Nerdzfactory Foundation has empowered no fewer than 500 youths across the country with digital and technology skills.
The Foundation’s Managing Director, Ade Olowojoba, at the weekend, emphasised the empowerment significance, stating: “In today’s fast-paced digital landscape, essential technology skills are not just an advantage; they’re a necessity.
He pointed out that Nigeria’s youths are at the forefront of the nation’s digital future, and through DigiGap 2.0, they’ve equipped them with the knowledge and skills needed to ignite a wave of innovation and economic empowerment, shaping a brighter, more digitally inclusive future for Nigeria.
He added that participants embarked on an intensive four-week training programme, delving deeper into their chosen tracks to cultivate practical skills and excel in their respective fields.
“Nigeria’s digital landscape has undergone a remarkable transformation, with the global economy embracing technology as a catalyst for growth. As the largest digital market in Africa and a hotspot for investment, Nigeria has the potential to significantly contribute to the digital economy,” Olowojoba added.
Olowojoba added that the programme has been instrumental in equipping young Nigerians with the critical Information Communication Technology skills required to excel in this evolving digital ecosystem.
“This was achieved through a comprehensive training curriculum and mentorship, offering practical knowledge in high-demand areas. By enhancing participants’ job readiness and employability, DigiGap 2.0 has played a pivotal role in bolstering the economic empowerment of Nigerian youth,” he said.
